Audie L. Murphy, son of poor Texas sharecroppers, rose to national fame as the most decorated soldier in WW II. Among his 33 awards was The Medal of Honor, the highest military decoration for bravery that can be given to a member of The United States Armed Forces. He received every award for valor this country can present, some more than once. He also received several awards from France and England. |
